Oasis in the sand
There is something about resting inside a position of safety that enables the being to believe that in some way that the enclosure in which this exists is secure and there is nothing to fear.
But this threshold serves only to highlight the true clarity of the place of safety and not of the being themselves.
For where there is much fortitude within this place, there is an inability to move beyond and to comprehend a place that is safe but unknown outside the manufactured boundaries as they exist.
This place is built as an oasis in the sand within the belief that what surrounds this place of safety and beauty is dry, arid desert; that this place beyond is a place of hostility and it is somewhere we should fear to tread.
This is a making of our own, built on the illusions of others and sustained by the unimaginable power of faith in a belief that is restrictive.
Imagine if you can, if you allow yourself for just a moment.
See yourself in a place that is also safe but boundless and with an unmeasurable faith in a boundless consciousness that holds and sustains.
Now where has the fear gone?
There it is again, as soon as you step back into the oasis of your own safety, the ability to hold the place of absolute safety evaporates.
But at the same time it is there, it is beyond the sphere of the oasis, the finite space. It is surrounding, and also within it is a mirage but only if you believe that your oasis is real and the infinite space of safety is just an illusion.
It will appear in the distance, it will fluctuate and move as if transported wherever you set your gaze.
If you allow the possibility, that this mirage is the true oasis of safety, then the gate will open, the vast canyon of restriction will fill over and the place of infinite safety will become as solid and real to you as the small space of oasis has been.
And yet within this will come substance and an understanding that the mirage is but the true reflection of the place you have always dreamt you would be able to walk within - of infinite potential.
