Nourishment
When we expect to understand everything at the same time, know that all will fall down under the weight of our expectation.
It is not possible to sit and experience all things at the same time, although all things exist at the same time.
This paradox serves only to allow us the space in which to process the awareness of what it is that we are allowed to know and to perceive. For if this were not the case we would know all infinity in a single breath and there everything would cease.
Because it is only through our experience of things that we extract the best essence from the process of becoming, and therefore build an understanding of each element through study and observation.
Take the humble fly. It sits on a piece of fruit and licks the juice from its legs and feet. In the same way that it experiences sweetness, it feels the features of its own legs and the detail of the hairs and skin. It does not have a sense about what it is, but it understands that to land on that piece of fruit and lick the juice from its legs gives it satisfaction. With this experience it nourishes itself and its desire for sweetness and is energised to continue on its journey with its whole existence designated to these small acts.
We must be flies resting on a piece of fruit, we must seek what nourishes us and rest there to absorb the goodness and fuel ourselves for our continued journey.
It is therefore important to distinguish which fruits nourish and which offer nothing but rotten flesh to eat.
We must be clear with ourselves and to understand the causes of destruction carefully.
This is one of the most important experiences that one can obtain - an understanding of how we can sustain ourselves fully.
